2024-25 NBA championship odds: Thunder, Celtics remain favored

There’s not much time left in NBA regular season.
While the Boston Celtics became champions for the 18th time at the end of last season, the path to another championship won’t be a cakewalk, as there are a number of real contenders in both conferences.
Here’s a look at the NBA title odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of April 5.

The Thunder’s odds moved slightly to +150 from +160 over the last week. Led by star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who’s averaging a league-best 32.9 points per game, OKC has won 11 of its last 12.
OKC has clinched the top seed in the Western Conference.
Reigning champion Boston is second on the board, shifting to +220 from +230. Currently, the Celtics have the third-best record in the league at 57-20 and have clinched the Atlantic Division, as they look to defend their title.
Rounding out the top three are the Cavaliers, who stayed put at +650.
With the regular season coming to a close on April 13, things are getting tight, especially in the West.Â
While OKC is locked into the No. 1 seed, and Houston appears to be the sure No. 2, it’s up in the air from there.Â
As of April 5, the Lakers have 30 losses, the Nuggets and Warriors both have 31 losses, and the Wolves, Clippers and Grizzlies each have 32 losses.Â
As for the East, Cleveland will likely be the No. 1 seed, Boston will likely be the No. 2, followed by New York and Indiana. Detroit and Milwaukee are battling for the 5-seed, while Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago and Miami are competing for Play-In Tournament positioning.
